MJG was founded by MJ Grant and Allen Wilson in 1994. With over 70 years of experience in the signaling department of the Union Pacific Railroad, the two men brought their ideas together to form MJG.

Since then, our mission has been to meet the needs of privately owned railways, transit groups, and class 1 customers. We are compliant with Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and Federal Transportation Administration (FTA) standards, and specialize in the installation and maintenance of such projects.

Our primarily focus is on signal, overhead contact, and communications systems. We provide a turnkey solution to independent railroads, including freight, mining, and passenger lines. As we’ve continued to grow and thrive, we’ve also moved into the communications, overhead catenary systems, and streetcar construction spaces.
